Personal Statement Love Isn t Something You Find

â€Å"Love isn’t something you find. Love is something that finds you.† – Loretta Young. March 28, 2013: Easy for her to say, so I thought. Dear God, why am I the way that I am? I go on dates, good and bad, but still don’t want a relationship. That’s it, I’m going to be single forever, aren’t I? Am I asking too much from a man? Isn’t a woman supposed to want a protector, provider, a friend, and a lover at the same time? It’s like I’m bumping into the wrong dudes, let me explain. You have the clingy guy who gets attached from the first or second date, always texting you good morning, afternoon, and night text, and want to introduce you to his family by the third week. He can also be seen popping up any and everywhere, so annoying. Then we got the bad boys, aggressive, sexy, spontaneous and they tell you exactly what you want to hear ; however, they’re always talking about how they don’t trust females because they claim they were cheated on in the past so they act out by cheating, lying, and being a jerk on num erous occasions. Lord, I can go on about the smart guys, the momma’s boy, the arrogant athletes, and the work comes first men. But that’s the thing, I’m tired of trying, I just want someone to sweep me off my feet. What am I saying? I barely portray this image. Excuse my language Lord, but I can be bitchy at times, sometimes I use these guys for money, companionship or keep them wrapped around my finger because I will not be played.
